We host a monthly food drive in several homeless encampments in the South Bay community, including but not limited to: Harbor City, Wilmington and San Pedro. During these events, we hand out home-made nutritious meals that our Nutrition Specialist, Melissa, and the rest of our team prepares fresh the day of the event.
Please contact us if you have any food donations to contribute.
During our monthly food drives, we provide free COVID-19 test kits. We also provide naloxone (Narcan) and overdose prevention training for our unhoused neighbors that we serve.
Our volunteer program is offered for those who need verified volunteer hours for academic and/or community service purposes. Volunteers can assist with health screenings, food distribution, and any of our hygiene services.
We offer health education courses to local elementary schools that include a nutrition and cooking lessons created by our Nutrition Specialist. We are currently partnered with St. Anthony of Padua School in Gardena.
Contact us if you are interested in bringing Hungry to Help to your school!
During our community food drive event, we offer free haircut services for those who are living in the homeless encampments. We also distribute hygiene kits that contain donations of shampoo, conditioner, feminine hygiene products, body wash, deodorant, etc.
